Jose, Hilome

He was born in 1947. He moved to Port-au-Prince in the 1960’s to work as a carpenter. He trained under the instruction of renowned artist, Calixte Henry. With his adept use of color and lines, he portrays the rustic country life in Haiti. He was one of Haiti’s most highly esteemed modern artist in Haiti.
