Haiti – ALERT : Intense heat wave in Haiti (Advice)

Currently, in Haiti, the meteorological situation since the beginning of the week presents characteristics of intense heat. These high temperatures (up to 38 degrees) due to a haze of sand from the Sahara, combined with considerable humidity, create uncomfortable and potentially dangerous conditions for the health of the population. Coastal regions and urban areas are particularly affected, increasing heat-related risks. This weather situation can have harmful consequences on the population, particularly with regard to dehydration, heat stroke and respiratory problems.
