Thursday, June 8, 2023, US Vice President Kamala Harris announced that the United States is investing more than $100 million in the Caribbean region to suppress arms trafficking and support initiatives to fight climate change.
The announcement came ahead of an official trip to the Bahamas for a meeting of Caribbean and United States leaders hosted by Harris and Bahamian Prime Minister Philip Davis.
