A woman dressed in a blue dress is riding a donkey loaded with supplies down the road a road that runs through the center of their village.
These hand carved frames are made from hard oak trees grown in Haiti. They are made by frame
makers, not the artist. Some frames take weeks to make, while others are carved while the painter is
painting and are finished when the painting is done. This is done because the corners must fit. None of the paintings are the exact size. These frames are valued at $200 or more.
